William Lapslie – Managing Director
William (Bill), founded George Benson Ltd in 1982 from his experience in the commercial cleaning industry. Bill is also a qualified Engineer which brings a practical and strategic approach to the business thus offering clients best practises and alternative strategies, which is extremely important in today’s rapidly changing environment. Bill has a relentless quest for customer satisfaction, and his efforts are borne out by a long history of customer retention and client referral.

Jay Brown – Building Services – Director
Jay graduated as an Industrial Designer and Model-Maker, and then furthered his qualifications undertaking a three year Carpentry & Joinery course followed by two years Building Studies achieving distinctions in all, and including many units such as Site Surveying & Construction Technology. His eye for design and finish is crucial to delivering our clients bespoke visions and fit-outs. Having over 18 years commercial building experience Jay and his highly skilled team can undertake most construction and maintenance projects, and deliver in style. Jay also manages his team of specialists and subcontractors to provide rapid customer support for any project or emergency.
Sam Ntem – Commercial Cleaning – Director
Sam was one of our first employees back in the early days of George Benson Ltd, and now runs our 150 strong Cleaning division which operates in our client sites within the London area. Sam’s experience is essential to ensure daily running of the business goes without a hitch. Because he understands the business and the client needs, he is able to ensure seamless operations that satisfy each unique customer site requirements.
Warren Hayden – Company Secretary
Being the ‘heartbeat’ of the company Warren’s responsibilities are wide and varied, he has been with the company for over 20 years and handles most of the daily business including routine customer liaison. His extensive knowledge and experience in the company are invaluable in an ever changing and vibrant service industry. The company has expanded it’s services to virtually a one-stop-shop, and ‘Warren handles Client enquiries or emergencies with equal levels of enthusiasm and professional integrity
Dave Keilit – Senior Contract Manager
After spending some 15 years in the commercial world, Dave moved to head up the contract cleaning division, which he has successfully managed for some 18 years. Dave has many strings to his bow and is a master of specialist services, he also manages our teams of mobile specialist contract cleaners which include – periodical cleaning, carpet/upholstery/furniture or hard floor maintenance and restoration projects. Dave and his team are always ready and on-hand to tackle almost any cleaning job.
Steve Tutton – Contracts & Maintenance – Contracts Manager
After spending 20 years in the commercial environment Steve has become part of the contract and maintenance division. Whether it is planned or reactive maintenance, refurbishment projects or small one off repairs, Steve and his team are on-hand and can be rapidly deployed to ensure a customer suffers minimum disruption should a crisis occur. And of course also provide essential support to all facilities projects.
David Neller – Projects Manager
David is the most recent member of the George Benson family, and assists the company on a part time basis with various projects, accreditations and process management. David has an engineering degree and spent some 40 years in the automotive industry before retiring. During the latter part of that time he had responsibility for all European manufacturing and non-manufacturing facilities management, which means he brings a wealth of experience to the company.
